It’s this welcoming atmosphere which really makes Napa what it is. The food is another comforting factor. The prawn & crayfish cocktail (£6) is listed under the ‘Classic Napa’ options. While simple they are executed to perfection.
Moving on to the mains, the grilled meats and fish are really hearty options and the meat (especially the steak) is cooked wonderfully well. Juicy, tender and moreish. If you can’t stomach a grill opt for one of the ‘Classic Napa’ options; beef Wellington in madeira sauce (£17.50) and the lighter option of the poached smoked haddock, spinach, chive mash & hollandaise (£16.50).
Now go for dessert: Baked Alaska (and I challenge you to gasp at its size!)
