France Best Quality of Life 2010

France is the best place to live for the 5th year running in International Living's quality of life index for 2010.
England is now 25th in the poll behind amongst many others, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, and Austria.

194 countries were polled on the cost of living, leisure and culture, the economy, the environment, health, infrastructure, risk and safety and climate.

It seems that the French enjoy life, and work less hours, whilst the British are more stressed and prone to binge drinking . The French go skiing and have the Riviera at their disposal whilst also taking better care of themselves.

The French do tend to complain bitterly if things are not up to standard and they have some of the most beautiful cities in the world. Paris is quite stunning and the aesthetics of the city alone must count for a lot in the survey.

The British on the other hand are known for their great sense of humour and enjoy an incredible reputation for creativity. London has so much going on and the first to admire it are the French themselves who work or live here.

Vive la difference and let's face it, it's just a short hop to Paris anyway.

Here is the list with the highest scoring first.
